THE FOURTH ANNUAL SUNDAY OCTOBER 22, 2006DINNER SPONSORSHIPS: This yearly wrestling preseason dinner will be given by our Wrestling Community in remembrance of Charlie Perez and to honor area wrestlers and their dedication to the sport. This year’s award dinner will again include high schools from Ocean, Monmouth and Middlesex counties so that we will encompass both the Shore Conference and Greater Middlesex Conference as well as adding another scholarship for those schools wishing to participate that our from other parts of the state. Respective high school coaches will nominate incoming senior wrestlers from their high school as the recipient of the Charlie Perez Wrestling Award. Final award winners (5 each County or other) will be our guests at the dinner and are then eligible for a scholarship to be presented to one wrestler from each county and other state area in honor of Charlie. All funds collected from this dinner will go towards an Education Trust for Charlie’s two children and these wrestling scholarships. We think it is a wonderful way to kick off the season and help insure Candace and Nick Perez afford the high cost of today’s college education. Candace will begin her college education at the University of Delaware this year after graduating from Freehold Township High School in June. Nick graduated from high school this year and is currently searching a career path for college study. All monies collected in their trust will be paid exclusively and directly to the institution for higher education that they choose. Thank you for your care and generous contribution. All sponsors will be listed in the Dinner Program and all attendees will be encouraged to support and acknowledge them.
