The New Jersey Wrestling Officials Association (NJWOA) is the state organization for NJ High School Wrestling Officials. There are 7 Chapters throughout the state and the SC is served by the Shore Chapter. There are 39 current Varsity Officials in our Chapter with another 8 subvarsity. It takes 2 years to become a Varsity Official. Anyone can become a Wrestling Official and its a great way to stay involved with this great sport. The money won't make you rich but lets you take the better half out for a nice dinner. Anyway, contact this site, any official,  or the following Chapter officers if your interested in becoming part of a great organization.

Wrestling Officials May Have One of Toughest Jobs Going
    By Craig Sesker
This is a great article and as an official I think you could change the names and events to include NJ State tournaments and get a feel for what its like. I know our Shore Chapter doesn’t have a similar evaluator system but I think the State does. Our system is a ranking by all coaches and other officials in the Conference, JMHO but a committee like the one describe I think is Ideal though may not be possible due to logistics...anyway enjoy the article...realize it usually requires something extra to be a good and fair official.
