  • 2 weeks off of the SCT and 45% of respondents think Jackson will win the SCT, 26 %  think Ocean, 17% Southern and 5 % for Wall and Howell. Presently SC Duals: Ocean beat Southern, Southern beat Jackson.

  • Over 80% of the respondents think the SC will end its 1 year State Champion drought and crown the SC next Champion.

  • Over 1/2 (53%) of respondents think the SCT should have an Ocean/Monmouth Division Breakdown with the Top 2 from each Division then squaring off against each other to name the SCT Champion.

  • 60% of respondents think Marlboro will be the next SC team to get its first Region Champ. With 171 LBS Nick Parisi out front of that weight class its the best shot the Mustangs have had since Livio DiRubbo back in 1995.

  • 67% respondents think if anyone will crown 5 Region VI Champs this year it will be the Rams of Southern and their Murderer's Row of Quinn, Molinaro, Hickman, and Lanno then throw in Larson, Henry, Bacon, Miele or Pringle for the 5th.

  • Respondents pick the following group winners: Group I: P-Boro hands down, Group II: kittatiny hands down, Group III Ocean Township over South Plainfield, Group IV Southern twice as likely over Jackson or Gami, Parochial "A" the Irish 3x likely over Bergan Catholic and Parochial "B" St. Mary's Ritherford a little less than 2x likely over St. Augustine.

  • 35 % of respondents would like to see the post season hold Individual State Group Tournaments and then take the top 6 in each weight for each Group and hold the State Tournament. This instead of the district and regional Format.

  • 35% of respondents think we should have Mat side weighins. This is significantly up from several years ago and I predict within 10 years we will have Mat side weighins.

  • 86 % of those responding to these polls are past or present wrestlers and 32 % have coaching experience.

  • 85 % would like to see an overall Tournament of Champions with 84 % planning to attend the Group Finals at the Rittacco Center in Toms River.

  • 90 % would like to see the Match Limits raised to at least 30 matches while 51 % are in favor of being able to bounce two weight classes over flat weight instead of the current one.

  • 66 % don't want Weight Classes taken away and 13% think a 95 lb weight should be added.

  • 63 % want the Tech Fall to remain 5 points, not the poll proposed 6 points.

  • Voted Preseason Shore Conference Top 3 are Southern (44 %) Jackson (26 %) and Ocean (18 %)

  • SC Wrestler voted highest AC finish: Southern's Luke Lanno (18 %) Lakewood's Matt Rizzo (15 %) Southern's Frank Molinaro (15 %) and Long Branch Manny Navarro (10%)
