POINT BORO 37, FREEHOLD 12:
The Panthers won 10 bouts including big victories for John Rose against
Andrew Rock at 152 and Gage Bongiovoni against Anthony Panzarino at 215
in the nondivisional match.
The victory improves the Panthers to 14-2 while Freehold fell to 17-5.
"It was a big bout for John (Rose)," Boro coach Dave Kirk said. "As a
team it was an awful good sign to win 10 bouts against a team like that.
When they lost to Wall, they won eight bouts."
MONMOUTH 39, SHORE 26:
The Falcons rallied from a 26-3 deficit to overtake the Blue Devils in
a nondivisional match between two teams heading to the NJSIAA team
tournament next week.
Jim Freudenburg won by a major decision at 215 to give Shore its
biggest lead before the Falcons ran off eight straight victories.
Heavyweight Paul Schweighardt got things started with a pin and
undefeated Anthony Bongarzone ended it with a pin of his own.
Shore (8-9) is the sixth seed in Central Jersey Group I. Monmouth
(10-8) will take on Point Boro in a first-round match at Raritan while
Shore goes against Class B Central champion Keansburg in its first-round
match Tuesday at Roselle Park.
KEANSBURG 42, MANASQUAN 34:
Jon Pecyna pinned Rob Grieb in the next to last bout to clinch the
victory for the Titans, who improved to 13-4 in the nondivisional
match.
Manasquan's Bryan Grieb had pinned Keansburg's Dan Gogan in their bout
at 112 to cut the Titans lead to six, but that was as close as the
Warriors (10-6) would get.

John Manafra got a takedown in the first overtime to defeat Anthony
Cappiello, 6-4, in their 130-pound bout and Chris Finley got a near fall
in the final seconds to win his bout against Brewer.
CBA, returning from a one week sabbatical because of a skin disorder
that kept it out of the Shore Conference Tournament, improved to 11-2.
It was the second bout for Wall, 11-5, which also had to sit out the
SCT, since the impetigo hit.
