CBA 42, MANALAPAN 18:
The Colts got a technical fall and three straight pins in the early
going to take the victory against the Braves in Class A North.
Anthony DeLeo started things with a 20-5 victory and Anthony
Chirichello, Ollie Ferrara and Greg Dube followed with pins.
HOWELL 52, MARLBORO 13:
The Rebels maintained their perfect record, winning the first 10 bouts
in their Class A North battle against the Mustangs. The Rebels also
rolled past Toms River North, 50-13. In that match Matt Oliver beat Joe
Langel 5-2 in their bout at 112.
FREEHOLD 49, POINT BEACH 10:
Rick Triozzi handed Matt Rega his first loss of the season at 125
pounds as the Colonials rolled to victory in the nondivisional match.
Triozzi, who lost in the first round of districts last year, won the
bout 3-1.
KEANSBURG 51, RUMSON-FH 23:
The Titans overcame an early 6-0 deficit and rolled past the Bulldogs
to clinch the Class B Central championship for the second straight
season. Keansburg won seven straight bouts, starting with a pin by
Anthony Blozin at 171 pounds.
NEPTUNE 40, MANCHESTER REG. 39:
Neptune freshman Tom Joyce pinned Tim Canero of the Falcons from
Passaic County at 119 pounds and the Fliers won the final bout by
forfeit to improve to 4-7 on the season.
Royston Hercules took the forfeit in the final bout for the victory.
Joyce was leading 6-0 when he got the pin.
POINT BORO 38, MIDD. NORTH 21:
The Panthers' upper weights allowed them to jump out to a 21-0 lead as
they cruised past the Lions.
Jeff Jacobs got things going for Point Boro with a pin 40 seconds into
the opening bout.
OCEAN 41, MIDD. SOUTH 24:
The Spartans returned to their winning ways, defeating the Eagles in a
Class A North match and Matawan in a nondivisional match. The two
victories bring Ocean back to .500 on the season.
Andrew Paulson had two victories for the Eagles on the day, as did Kyle
Kiss for Ocean.
ABSEGAMI 39, TR EAST 32:
The Raiders lost three matches, including the battle against Absegami.
The Braves had three pins and won a bout by forfeit.
The Raiders won the last three bouts, two by pin and one by forfeit to
tighten the final score. Buena beat East 37-30 and Kingsway won 44-19.
PINELANDS 63, DONOVAN 16:
The Wildcats finished with a flurry, getting two pins and a pair of
forfeits in the last four bouts for the Class B South victory. Pinelands
had eight pins in the match. The Wildcats also defeated Barnegat, 61-15.
They had six pins in that victory.
MANCHESTER 52, MANASQUAN 15:
The Hawks put together six straight victories from 160 pounds through
103 on their way to the nondivisional victory. |
