FREEHOLD 37, MONMOUTH 24:
Senior Andrew Rock improved to 15-0 on the season with a technical fall at 152 pounds
as the Colonials (9-3, 4-2) picked up the Class B North win over the Falcons (3-4,
0-3).
Senior Nick Triozzi wrapped up the victory with a 9-2 decision at 130 pounds,
improving his record to 13-2 this season.
SHORE 68, RUMSON-FAIR HAVEN 11:
Blue Devils senior Jed Fister moved to 13-2 this winter with a 56-second pin at 130
pounds.
Vinny Riccardi got Shore (2-7, 2-7) off to a fast start with a pin at 119 pounds, the
first bout of the night in this Class B Central match. Riccardi is now 14-3 this
season.
SJ VIANNEY 50, MANASQUAN 21:
Freshman Mike Murcia got things started with a pin over Paul Harley at 103 as the
Lancers (8-4, 3-1) took the first seven bouts in downing the Warriors (5-2, 2-2) in
Class A Central.
KEANSBURG 63, ST. ROSE 6:
Dead even after four bouts, Keansburg rattled off 10 unanswered victories to take
this Class B Central match.
Brian Blozen put the Titans ahead for good with a 9-3 decision over St. Rose's Tom
Scotto at 130.
OCEAN 53, FREEHOLD TWP. 12:
Nick Menditto (130) and Kyle Kiss (171) were both winners by technical fall, as the
No. 5 Spartans (4-5, 4-1) cruised to a Class A North victory.
JACKSON 61, EGG HARBOR TWP. 5:
Sophomore 145-pounder Scott Winston improved to 15-0 when he scored a technical fall
win over Greg Addo (11-2) as the Jaguars (13-1) rolled to a nonconference win over
the Eagles (6-3).
MIDD. NORTH 30, MANALAPAN 28:
Junior Travis Torchia scored twice on escapes to edge Vinny Lynch 2-0 at 119 in the
final bout of the match to put the Lions (2-4, 2-3) over the top against the visiting
Braves (4-4, 2-3) in Class A North.
Lions senior A.J. Maresca picked up a key win at 135 when he got three backpoints on
Dave Becker just before the third-period buzzer to win 10-9. Junior Bryan Paone
picked up a 10-8 win over Manalapan's Nick Scardelli with a takedown in the first 10
seconds of overtime.
LAKEWOOD 48, BARNEGAT 18:
The Piners (1-3) jumped out to an 18-0 advantage on the way to their first victory of
the season.
John Sanchez started the run for Lakewood with a pin in 2:36 at 152.
