Three straight pins * one by Len Forsyth, one by Jack Weaver and one by Nick Weaver * had Central's wrestlers beaming. They were winning big now. A few more individual victories, and they would have their biggest team victory of the season.

The No. 7 Golden Eagles would leave the mat with a 37-25 Shore Conference nondivisional triumph over No. 6 Wall Wednesday.

"I think we're going in the right direction," said Central head coach Mike Bischoff. "We have more to go. I hope this isn't the biggest win we have this year but I think it shows we're a good team."

The opening coin flip helped Central, allowing the Golden Eagles to race out to an early lead. Wall senior Bob Sprengel won the opening bout at 135 pounds, but Central went on to win seven of the next eight bouts.

"I think from 140 through heavyweight," Bischoff said, "we only lost one match in that whole span."

Central heavyweight Sean Dedeyn had one of the most exciting victories of the night, winning 3-1 in overtime against Wall's Drew Doyle. Dedeyn had lost to Doyle earlier this season. His third-period reversal helped the Golden Eagles pick up a nice win.

"They're a tough team," Bischoff said. "You look at a couple of polls, they're state ranked. We knew that this match was going to be big for Shore Conference seedings and power points."
